Katherine Clarke Langlands (KCL), is a prolific and passionate painter most known for her unique color schemes, distinctive figurative style and paintings rich with layers. For Katherine, painting is a practice that perpetually encourages ultimate freedom, expression and experimentation. She believes that creating and appreciating art arouses the joy and pleasure of expression and consequently strengthens individuals and societies. Her goal is to continually contribute to this belief.

Katherine was born and raised in Vermont. Her family owns and operates Darkside Snowboards. She graduated from the University of Vermont with a degree in Art. She has exhibited her art in Vermont, Portland, OR, and Los Angeles, CA.

She currently splits her time between Vermont and Los Angeles.
